The White House Conference on Aging

A White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) is a legislated event that occurs every 10 years.  It is authorized by the Older Americans Act with a purpose of developing recommendations for the President and Congress on issues, policy and research in the field of Aging.

WHCOA In Brief

This briefing paper prepared by Deanna Okrent provides a basic overview of WHCOA including public participation in the conference. Sent January 25, 2005 to Citizen Advocacy Groups, State Ombudsmen, NALLTCO, and the NCCNHR Board.
